A Tool and Die Manufacturer’s Story

Zinc Die Cast Faceplate

Founded in 1988, tool and die manufacturer Plas-Tec Tool and Dienamics, Inc., originally focused on plastic injection molds. Since then, we have grown as a tool and die manufacturer, both organizationally and technologically, to give our customers comprehensive tooling and zinc die casting solutions. Today, our offerings include tooling design, tooling manufacturing and zinc die casting for customers across a wide range of industries — including medical, telecommunications, automotive and more.

Over the years, our customers have brought their projects to us because we have helped them solve their challenges when no one else could. It is our skilled designers and engineers that drive our success through their dedication to innovative problem solving and quality control.

Growth Continues with Southwest Metal Finishing

Zinc Die Cast SW Logo

In 2003 we celebrated the addition of Southwest Metal Finishing as a customer, working on Harley-Davidson motorcycle projects that involved complex, highly cosmetic zinc die casting. As a result of this successful collaboration, Southwest Metal Finishing and Plas-Tec merged in 2004 to become a strong organization with expertise in a broad range of materials and manufacturing.

From Plas-Tec to Inventix Manufacturing

In September 2007, we changed our name from Plas-Tec Tool and Dienamics, Inc., to Inventix Manufacturing, with the tagline “Precision Tooling & Die Casting.” Our new name and tagline better reflect how much we’ve grown since our founding and who we are as a company, including:

  • How our technological capabilities and problem-solving expertise have evolved to establish us as a leader in high-precision tooling for plastic components and zinc, aluminum and magnesium die castings.
  • Zinc Die Cast Directional mount
  • How our progressive spirit has enabled us to exceed industry standards in creating robust zinc die cast components with unprecedented accuracy and repeatability.
  • How we help customers go beyond the mold and experience design freedom.
